First thing Russell said was it's a racing incident. He dive bombed knowing he had no chance of making the pass because he ha drained his battery. Go listen to him
P6 was the best Lewis could manage to get out of his SF-26 today, with only two one hundreds of a second seperating him from Charles Leclerc. Still, races aren't won on a Saturday, but we can hope Lewis pulls out some of his magic that we all know he's capable of.
With the Belgian Grand Prix at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps just a few days away, Scuderia Ferrari HP are still continuing their relentless development path with a new low drag Macarena rear wing and exhaust system, which when both are combined should add an estimated 11kph to their top speed (which will come in handy on the Kemmel straight!)
Add to that, after emerging from a very bleak 2025 season, Lewis Hamilton will be looking to make it record equalling 6th victory at the legendary circuit.
Two 3rd places, two 2nd places, and victory so far in 2026. Plus the only driver to have finished every lap of every race this year. And to think people were calling for him to retire just a few short months ago…

Tbf we should of had a race at the end but if Russel didn’t have a slow puncture,I think this would of been the order anyway . But yes the last two laps could of been different
In a chaotic final few laps of the British Grand Prix with the race ending under a safety car, Lewis Hamilton brought his car home in third position. Charles Leclerc took his first victory of the year and George Russell finished in the runner up spot. A great result for Scuderia Ferrari HP!
